Junior High Boys Track
The JH boys track team has seen much improvement and success in the last few weeks. With meets at FM, Essex, and Corning the boys have finished 4th, 2nd, and 6th overall in team points. During this time every boy on the team has recorded a personal best in 1 or more of their events. With their goal of running their fastest times at our last meet of the season, the Corner Conference Meet, the boys are working hard to ensure that happens. During the FM Meet we had 1st place finishes from Josh Martin in the 1600 (who edged out teammate Kywin Tibben at the finish line for a great Stanton race), Josh Martin in the 200 hurdles and the High Jump, 4x400 Relay team of Kaiden Foster, Kywin Tibben, Damian Meek, and Josh Martin, and lastly the 800 Sprint Medley Relay of Brody Holmes, DJ Most, Kaiden Foster, and Jonan Wookey. During our meet at Essex we had 1st place finishes from Brandon Huddle in the 800, Josh Martin in the 1600 and the 200 Hurdles, the 4x400 team of Kaiden Foster, Kywin Tibben, Damian Meek, and Josh Martin, and lastly the 1600 Distance Medley Relay of Nolan Grebin, DJ Most, Brandon Huddle, and Kywin Tibben. Finishing up a full 2 weeks we ran in a stacked field at Corning last Friday. Going up against some stiff competition our boys responded well and competed with toughness. Top 3 finishes included Kywin Tibben with 1st place in the 1600, Josh Martin got 3rd in the 100 Hurdles, the 4x800 team of Brandon Huddle, Axel King, Kywin Tibben, and Josh Martin finished in 3rd, the 4x400 team of Kaiden Foster, Brandon Huddle, Jonan Wookey, and Damian Meek finished 3rd, the 800 Sprint Medley team of Jonan Wookey, Kaiden Foster, Damian Meek, and Josh Martin finished 3rd and the 1600 Distance Medley team of Jonan Wookey, Kaiden Foster, Damian Meek, and Brandon Huddle finished in 2nd. The boys are really looking forward to Friday's conference meet and have a goal of finishing top 3 with personal bests all across the board knowing they competed tough in every race.
