Update! 4-27-20
Monday, April 27th 1:00 pm
Here is some information for activities.
- Graduation
-May 16th We are planning on an individual walk across the stage then leading to a parade downtown and a route around town. Families would be able to be in their vehicles downtown to watch the graduates parade by. More specific details later. We are looking at an afternoon time for this but it could be adjusted if weather dictates. We would allow for speeches to be recorded and all the events to be livestreamed and recorded to watch later.
-Early June - We are looking at a formal ceremony in the gym if the social distancing permits. It would be different than normal but would allow all to get together and go through a ceremony. If we are not allowed to gather by then we would cancel and not reschedule this.
- Sr trip is cancelled. We will get some information to the seniors about possible ways to use the money.
- 8th Grade Graduation This has been cancelled for this year.
- Handing in computers/books - We will be scheduling a date later in May for this.
Senior check in – Tentative date for checking in of computers, books etc. will be May 11th.
-All dues/fees will need to be paid by this day. You will be able to pick your cap and gowns then. We will give more specific info on how this will work at a later date.
**Senior Announcements can be picked up at school. Make arrangements with the office.
- Awards Day / Scholarships
-A video presentation of Senior awards and scholarship winners can be seen on our website and/or Facebook by May 13. This will be only Sr awards and the underclassman awards will be presented to them after school starts in the fall. If you are giving a scholarship please contact Sheila Mainquist at smainquist@stantonschools.com or 712-370-6806. Those are due to her by May 8th.
- Kindergarten Round Up
-Materials/paperwork has been sent out to everyone. We are looking at scheduling a time that students can be screened and all parents can meet at school. It will probably happen in early August (possible registration day). More specific info will be announced this summer.
- High School scheduling for next year’s classes will begin this week. It will be done online and/or by paper. High School students will be mailed/emailed forms by May 1st.
**There will be a ZOOM meeting on Thurs, April 30 for 8th grade students at 7:00 pm. Invitations will be sent out by Mrs. Mainquist. Please call or email any questions to Sheila Mainquist (smainquist@stantonschools.com, 712-370-6806).
