FFA Members attended Sub-District Contest
Three Stanton students participated in the FFA competition in Clarinda held on Wed., Feb. 10. Congratulations to Thomas Bates and his Conduct of Meetings team for getting a Gold rating and advancing on to the district contest, Connor Hultman on his 3rd place and Gold rating for Oxy-Acetylene Welding, he will also advance to district contest and Kylee for her silver rating for Job interview. These students are members of the Red Oak Chapter of the FFA.
The Red Oak FFA Chapter participated in the South Sub-District Contests last night at Clarinda. Of the nineteen members who participated in a variety of Career Development Events (CDEs), seventeen of the students advanced to the District FFA Convention on March 5 at Adair-Casey High School. The results are as follows:
· Conduct of Meetings CDE – 1st Place – Gold Rating – Advance to District
o Kate Carlson, Mason Perkins, Emily Peterson, Carter Bruce, Cole Carlson, Kristian Schooling, and Thomas Bates
· Parliamentary Procedure CDE – 3rd Place – Silver Rating – Advance to District
o Justin Bernard, Cheyenne Haidsiak, Tristan Wolfe, August Taylor, and Anthony Schooling
· Chapter Program CDE – 3rd Place – Bronze Rating – Advance to District
o Maria Pendleton and Rob Vial
· FFA Creed Speaking CDE – 4th Place – Silver Rating – Advance to District
o Macy Baker
· Oxy-Acetylene Welding – 3rd Place – Gold Rating – Advance to District
o Connor Hultman
· Arc/Mig Welding – 1st Place – Gold Rating – Advance to District

· Ag Broadcasting CDE – Silver Rating
