ACT & Yearly Scholarship Bulletin
I have attached the link for the 22-23 Scholarship Bulletin. In the bulletin, there is a description of the scholarship and a general deadline for the scholarship. This is a good resource to utilize for available scholarships.
Junior year is a good time to take the ACT! Many colleges, including test optional schools, will use the ACT score to award merit scholarships for incoming students. If you do well on the test, your scores could benefit your financial aid greatly! Here are a few online resources students can use to study:

Seniors to-do’s
- Continue to apply for grants and scholarships
- Obtain financial aid forms from programs that require forms in addition to the FAFSA.
- Watch for your Student Aid Report (SAR) if you’ve filed your FAFSA. Check that it lists all the colleges requiring the FAFSA.
- Stay focused! Grades in your senior year can affect college admittance and scholarships!
- Know the priority dates for filing the FAFSA at the colleges to which you’re applying.
- Continue submitting your admission applications to the programs you’re most interested in. Be aware of deadlines!
Juniors to-do’s
- Start preparing now to take the ACT during your junior year. Register now if you’re planning to take the February.
- Explore your options by meeting with college representatives and career speakers at your school.
- Find information about Iowa colleges at https://www.icansucceed.org/college-planning/explore-colleges
- Set up a college visit to a college you would like to explore. Each student gets 2 excused absences from school to do college visits!
