Stanton students were able to participate in what will be a very memorable event in their lives in years to come. The elementary students lined main street to Welcome Iowa's Governor Kim Reynolds, while the high school students attended the ReConnect Award Ceremony with Governor Reynolds and US Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.
Our FFA members were able to go a little early and meet with Secretary Perdue. We all learned about the plans for FMTC to bring fiber optics to all rural areas of Montgomery County. We will be one of the first counties in Iowa to receive this full coverage and quite possibly the first county in the United States. What a great experience for all!
